Let me start with a bit of background about how our group got started. Many of us have been on A.F.F. for some time now and have been a part of putting together gatherings both those for all of the indians n bangalore as well as, smaller local gatherings. bangalore Greeters began as a result of A.F.F. frowning on people posting gathering information within the chat rooms, thus bangaloreans Greeters was formed in December of 2007. It was formed for the purpose of posting gathering information in one central place for anyone in the area to be able to locate and find the dates and locations of our gatherings.

Our very first "Meet 'n Greet" was held in jan of 2008, at that time we held them every couple of months. More recently we have grown in numbers and have seen a trend towards there being regional gatherings on a nearly monthly basis. The smaller local gatherings are fun as well, gives people a chance to meet those who live nearby. While the local ones are often done on a spur of the moment in the chat, some are planned out in advance and will also be posted here in our group.

We have a few simple guidelines for postings here in bangalore,and indian Greeters. Please follow the guidelines for our group as to keep this forum enjoyable for everyone. There are groups here on A.F.F. for nearly any topic one can imagine, please join one of those groups for topics that do not pertain to our group.

1) First and foremost, be respectful of others in all threads/replies. No one appreciates or should they have to see a reference to them in the group in a negative light of any kind. Any postings of this type will be deleted at the discretion of the moderator. If anyone feels they've been spoken of within the group in a disrespectful manner please bring it to my attention. Postings showing disrespect WILL be deleted.

2) Our main focus here is for the posting of information with regards to upcoming Meet 'n Greets and local gatherings that are open to ALL. Postings of gatherings not open to ALL will be deleted. Other postings will be allowed and are welcome as long as they are within good taste (IE: humor, kudos after the gatherings, requests of information, poetry, etc.)

3) This group is NOT yet another profile with which people put up postings for their own personal preferences in meeting certain individuals/couples. These threads/replies will also be deleted.

4) Any postings that are found to be offensive in nature will also be deleted, repeated offenses of this nature will cause said poster to be banned from the group, thus no longer allowing postings here

5) Lastly, this group is about fun !!!! Please NO drama, bitching, whining, complaining, or the like, they are all quite unbecoming. If you have an issue with someone please take it up with him or her in private and do not bring it to our group.
