This word also includes (4) nonsurgical transsexuals (see above). TSs want to appear "convincing as their new selves. Transsexual female/woman: An MTF TS. The medical literature tends to use the extremely demeaning term male transsexual to mean the same thing. Note that one can usually tell the preferred form is in use when the gender word comes after the T. Many women who are new to transwomen posses a variety of misconceptions. First, they often assume she is gay - or will most certainly become that way. In reality, fewer than 20% of all transwomen consider themselves "bisexual" - let alone homosexual. One's sexual "orientation" does not shift easily - if ever. If you're a single woman with an interest in finding a transwoman for sexual gratification - you're in luck. There are perhaps more available hetero tg's than any other category. Your challenge is determining which ones are sexually oriented this way. This is a fair question to ask from the onset of a conversation - and will not result in any anger - if your prospect is not sexually attracted to genetic females.
